“Exceptionally bizarre game where the Mets had no bullpen whatsoever, got a 3-run little league homer where the ball never left the infield in the 1st, and an ineffective Kodai Senga led to them throwing out 31-year-old Matt Seelinger to make his MLB debut in a 9-9 game, where he then gave up 7 runs in one inning and was still forced to go out and pitch the next. A large tarps-off crowd also formed in the nosebleeds that I eventually joined because why not, just did a bunch of dumb chants and a successful roll-call at one point. Had to leave in the middle of the 8th to catch a train. With this game and Jonah Tong's debut, I have attended the 2 Mets games where they have scored the most runs in both a home win and a home loss.”
